Living Well Counseling

As a Pastoral Counselor, my mission is to provide real help for real people in a hurting world. My goal is to help both individuals and couples find increased health and wholeness in their life through compassionate counseling, regardless of a person’s faith background and personal spiritual values.

What is pastoral counseling?  

Pastoral counseling takes the psychological tools of regular counseling and integrates it within a framework of faith and spiritual belief.  

For a Christian, I can provide faith-based counseling through an understanding of both psychological and biblical principles, soul care, spiritual direction, and discipleship. Together, we can work toward better health in relationship to God, self, and others.  

For those who are not Christian, or who subscribe to other religions or faith traditions, together we can work toward a healthy and fulfilling life, and toward a healthy marriage, family, or community, all while respecting the values and background brought into counseling by each individual.  

Pastoral counseling does not force or require belief. I am happy to work with all individuals.  

What are your credentials? Do you take insurance?  How much does counseling cost?

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I have finished all of the coursework for a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling and will formally graduate in May.  

I do not accept insurance, but as a Pastoral Counselor, I am able to offer a significantly less expensive rate of $60 per 50-minute session in order to make help more accessible.  

Do you do Pre-marital Counseling?

Absolutely! I am a Certified Facilitator for both SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) and Prepare/Enrich. 

Where are you located?

I am grateful to Seymour Christian Church for providing me with space in their building to provide counseling services. To get to Living Well Counseling, drive to the back of the large parking lot, then turn left into the small back lot, and you will find the private door to the counseling center.
